Regular events and socials:
Film Nights happen twice a month - once at Park and once at Avenue. It's a nice time to meet other society members in a relaxed environment. Members can vote on what to watch on our Facebook page. Films we have watched so far include Brave, Wilde, Rent, If These Walls Could Talk and many more.
Fancy a chat or discussion? Or just want to chill out and get a drink? Either way coffee afternoons give us the opportunity to hear from you and you can let us know if there is anything we can do to help you. We usually meet at Park or Avenue restaurant.
Usually the last Friday of the month we hit The Boston for a night out together. Expect to stay out late.
LGBTQ History Week: February 17th-23rd
LGBTQ History Month lasts the whole of February. To mark this, from the 17th-23rd we shall be hosting a range of activities, socials and events to get involved with.
The week will include a film screening, a film night, and a very special masquerade ball. So be excited.
Fresher's Fair/Union Day! - Wednesday 18th September 2013
Come check out our stall at the Fair (on the rugby pitch right outside Spar on Park Campus). You won't be able to miss us, we'll be donning the masses of multi-coloured materials!
This'll be your first chance to meet some of the committee members face-to-face and when you sign your name up, you'll be given your own goodie-bag of LGBTQ cards, stickers and sweets! We have plenty of cards and posters of all kinds so if you want to take any away with you, just say so! We look forward to seeing you there!
Meet and Greet: Friday 20th September, 12pm at the Pavilion
This is your chance to meet the committee and fellow members, get to know each other and shake off those Fresher’s nerves! There will be a range of food and drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) available at the Pavilion. Just follow the sign between Simon Senlis and Spencer Percival (Park Campus) or send us a message on Facebook for directions.
Boston Clipper - Friday 27th, 10pm
Ready for a night out at the local gay club? We’ll be meeting for early drinks at the Edge of Town (another local gay pub) for 10pm and later on we’ll make our way to the Boston for the rest of the night. £8 entry and £1 drinks all night! Don’t worry if you can’t find your way, there’ll be someone from the society waiting to meet up with people at both campus’ and we’ll all get the bus into town.
