Non-Sexual Health and Welfare Info
There are many reasons why a person may not be sexually active: maybe it isn't the right time for you, or maybe you choose to be celibate because of your faith or maybe you are Asexual. Whatever the reason, you are welcome in the LGBTQ society.
At University there is a lot of pressure to be sexually active, However, it is your body and your choice - do not feel pressured to engage in any activity that you do not want to do.
There are many ways to express physically intimancy without sex such as hugging and kissing which are safe activities that carry no risk of STDs.
If you are Asexual you may still choose to engage in sexual activity with a partner or partners. This can be a big decision and we are happy to talk to you about it or just to be a friendly ear to listen. We do not currently have an Asexual Welfare Officer or Trans* Welfare Officer.
